  • Question 4 in Ward 7. The initiative for federal support of all people including non-Jew Palestinians from Israel to live free and ….something…something….
What was that all about? Ask Carl Sciortino – he’s from that district.

  • Unfortunately, the results also show how blind many Massachusetts voters really are. The Congressional seat of John Tierney is a good example. His wife gets indicted for laundering $8M in cash through her & John’s joint bank accounts over a two-year period for the mafia, of which her brother is a member. That’s $10,000 per week! Just before the election, in a plea bargain with the DoJ (a Pulitzer Prize for some reporter if they investigate that deal), she pleads guilty to laundering a lesser amount, but still considerable. There’s no way to justify sending this man back to Congress. Either he know his wife was running money at almost ten times his Congressional salary through their accounts and looked the other way, which would make him part of the criminal conspiracy. Or, he truly didn’t know that for 2 years his wife was running money at almost ten times his Congressional salary through their accounts, in which case no one that oblivious and incompetent should be sent to Congress. Yet due to the Globe and others like NPR burying this story, almost no one in the 6th Congressional District knows about this. Terrible, but not surprising, for Massachusetts.

  • Jim —

State House results (http://www.wbur.org/2010/11/03/massachusetts-state-house) and State Senate results (http://www.wbur.org/2010/11/03/massachusetts-state-senate), from the AP.

    Thanks.

  • I would like to find local race results for state reps and state senators. I have not found anything on line which reflect those results. Why are they so hard to find and where can I find them?

  • Catrina, there were 3 statewide questions, but some towns had additional questions, which would be numbered 4 and up. For example, Belmont had a Question 4 that was a community preservation act vote. Medford must have had its own Question 4 for something else.

  • What I hope I hear very little of tonight is any politician with the arrogance to give responsibility for the voter numbers on any “get out the vote” action. Every one of our politicians needs to realize that these voter numbers, on both sides, are a sign of voter concern!

  • Why didn’t I hear anything about a question 4? I went to the polls and heard gasps of frustration from fellow voters because NO ONE knew about question 4!
